Job Description: Advertising Manager - NYC or North Chicago Suburbs

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities with new advertisers and agencies
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling and face to face meetings
  • Accurate forecasting of projected business

Marketing Coordinator

SilverCarrot, Inc. is looking to hire a Marketing Coordinator with a strong background in online marketing for content websites and newsletters. He or she should be very familiar with online marketing trends, paid search marketing programs and social media. This position will be responsible for building traffic, relationships and subscriber acquisitions for our women's lifestyle content network.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with bloggers and publishers in the women's lifestyle content industry to grow out a network of content sites.
  • Work with social media and other online platforms to build traffic to internal content Web sites
  • Acquire subscribers to internal newsletters through various partnerships and link placements
  • Develop, test, and roll out new methods of subscriber acquisition such as Facebook ads, StumbleUpon or other new advertising platforms.
  • Continually optimize campaigns, and manage and report on marketing tests in ad copy, graphics to improve performance

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Content Team on creation of creative website, newsletter and mobile applications.
  • Conceptualize experiences using sketching, storyboarding, information modeling and other methods
  • Refine and document experiences in frameworks, site maps, page flows, interaction models and wireframe specifications
  • Effectively communicate design solutions to all levels of business partners and leadership
  • Present design solutions designed to maximize user experience and drive additional traffic to our websites and content properties
  • Create new concepts based on past experience and the latest online trends and advocate for their adoption with the current websites and content properties
  • Actively participate in design reviews at every stage in the process
  • Create design concepts for websites, newsletters and mobile applications that easily scale to the device that the customer is using.
  • Adopt and support established design guidelines and standards and participate in creating new ones
  • Conduct research on the latest trends, competitors and more in order to refine and enhance designs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in graphic design, industrial design, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in web interface and layout design
  • Willingness to work closely with content and technical teams to produce a team-driven end product that leads to a top-notch user experience

Looking for experience with a recipe Web site? Silver Carrot, Inc. is looking for an editorial intern to join our team and help us on a specific project of normalizing our ingredient database for our flagship recipe Web site. We have built a custom ingredient review tool to allow interns to approve and disapprove ingredient matches from our recipes. A qualified candidate has great attention to detail, superior problem solving skills and a background in editing. This position can be held remotely or in our Northbrook office. Our company is seeking a highly motivated Editor to join our editorial staff. SilverCarrot, Inc. manages multiple women's life style content Websites and email newsletters. The role of the Editor is to build content, newsletters and traffic. Other tasks will include social networking, customer service, ad operations and basic reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Write original content for websites and edit existing written content
  • Create newsletters based on Web site content and performance.
  • Engage in social networking strategies to build website traffic and brand identity online, including Facebook, Twitter, Digg, etc.
